Dr. Herman Stone Medical Library
The Dr. Herman
Stone Medical Library is a free medical reference library, staffed
by a team of volunteers, and contains many medical books and videos,
reference encyclopedias, and medical journals. The library was
established in 1992 to provide a means for health professionals and
the community to have access to important medical and health
information.
The Dr. Herman Stone Medical Library is located in Riverside Medical
Clinic's main facility on
7117 Brockton Avenue,
on
the lower level. Dr. Stone was a physician at Riverside Medical Clinic for many years, and was
instrumental in creating a library for the general public to ensure
access to the medical information they needed.
Take advantage of the library's benefits including:
- Information on your prescription medications.
- The latest information on medical conditions and procedures.
- Videos viewable on a wide variety of topics including cancer, breast self-exam, diabetes, heart disease, pregnancy, stress, and terminal illnesses.
Our volunteers are
always glad to assist you with materials in this non-lending library.
Limited copies of materials can be made for visitors by the volunteers.
The Dr. Herman
Stone Medical Library relies on the support of volunteers to staff the
library and assist visitors. If you are interested in volunteering, this
may be the perfect opportunity for you to work in a quiet, professional
setting. If you are interested in becoming a library volunteer, please
