Did you know?
Your foot contains over 10% of the bones and joints in your body.
Women experience more foot problems than men. High heels are partly to blame.
If you spend a large part of your day standing or walking, consider wearing two pairs of socks to absorb moisture and add cushion.
Walking is the best exercise for your feet. A brisk 30 minute walk every day,
with your podiatrist's or physician's supervision, can help ward off
foot problems.
Our Podiatry department can perform minor procedures in the
physician's office. This allows you to stay awake during your
procedure, be monitored afterwards and go home as soon as your
procedure is completed. Our podiatrists also have the option of a
comprehensive outpatient facility in Riverside Medical Clinic's
Surgery Center.
These are just a few of the many services provided by our podiatrists. Along with basic foot care instruction, patients are
also instructed on the aftercare of any procedure performed in the
office.
Referrals are required from the primary care physician or the
specialist treating the patient in order to be seen by a podiatry
physician. Our physicians and their
staff strive to educate their
patients with pamphlet and other handouts. Patients are also welcome
to visit our Patient Information Library.
