Oncology/Hematology Center

Dr. Francisco Wong established Riverside Medical Clinic's Oncology/Hematology Center in 1969. Today it has become one of the area's state-of-the-art Oncology/Hematology Centers. The center is located at the main clinic facility at 7117 Brockton Ave., Riverside.

Upon Dr. Wong's retirement, Dr. Ghaleb A. Saab commenced his practice with Riverside Medical Clinic. Dr. Saab has been in practice over 20 years. Utilizing his extensive education in research and training, Dr. Saab has established committees and registries that track various types of cancer. From early on in his career Dr. Saab had a special interest in treating patients with cancer. His philosophy has been: "Treat people with thoroughness, kindness, and patience; practice state-of-the-art medicine; aim for good quality of life."  Along with Dr. Saab, the Oncology/Hematology Center is staffed with five employees, each with the art-of-caring to ensure that patients' every need is taken care of, so they may concentrate on their health. While patients are receiving their treatments they are able to read, watch television, videos, or chat with their friends receiving treatment.

To ensure proper treatment for his patients, Dr. Saab has two medical assistants trained in obtaining required authorization, documentation, and working with physician offices. Another asset to Dr. Saab's office is the receptionist. She is the first one you will have contact with. She will make your appointments and can handle any questions you may have that would need to be given to Dr. Saab or the chemotherapy nurse.

Dr. Saab and his staff also provide patients with pamphlets and videos which a patient can view to gain a better understanding of their disease. Should any of the patients want to gain more knowledge, patients are referred to the clinic's medical library.
